Every commission starts with a friendly conversation where we'll explore what you want to capture and why it's meaningful to you. We'll discuss the subject you'd like portrayed, what size would work best for your space, the style and mood you're drawn to, and when you'd like to have it completed. We can chat via email, phone, or video call. Whatever feels most comfortable for you.

Choosing the Perfect Reference

To create the best possible portrait, I'll need great reference materials. The main image you'd like me to work from is essential, and additional photos from different angles really help me capture the essence of your subject. Don't worry if you're not sure which photo to choose. I'm happy to help you pick the one that will translate beautifully into artwork.

I can take the photos for you myself, and I'm even available to travel to your location to capture exactly what we need. This ensures we get the ideal lighting, angle, and mood for your portrait.

Your Custom Proposal

Based on our conversation, I'll create a detailed proposal just for you. This will include my artistic approach or a preliminary sketch, exact dimensions and medium details, timeline for completion, and clear pricing that covers everything we've discussed – whether that's photography services, travel, or any additional elements you'd like.

Complete Service Options

Beyond creating your portrait, I offer additional services to make your experience seamless. Professional framing is available so your artwork arrives ready to hang – no stress about finding the right frame or matting. If you choose photography services, I can travel to capture the perfect reference images in your preferred setting. All of these options will be clearly outlined in your custom proposal so there are no surprises.

Bringing Your Portrait to Life

Here's where the magic happens. I begin with preliminary sketches and composition studies, then create the initial rendering of your portrait. I'll send you progress updates so you can watch it come to life, make refinements based on your feedback, and add those final, perfect finishing touches. Most portraits take 2-3 weeks to complete, though this can vary depending on complexity.

Delivery & Care

When your portrait is finished, you'll see the final images for approval. Once you love what you see, the remaining 50% balance is due, and I carefully package everything for safe delivery. I can arrange shipping or local pickup (shipping included in base price) and provide care instructions so your artwork stays beautiful. Each portrait comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Investment

Commission pricing varies based on size, complexity, and medium. Multiple subjects, detailed backgrounds, larger formats, photography services, travel, and framing will all be factored into your custom proposal. All prices are in Euros, and any import taxes or customs duties are the responsibility of the customer.
